Root to Leaf Services

Kate understands that not everyone has the same needs.  It is also true that the best predictor of a positive outcome in counselling is a "good fit" between the counsellor and the client.  Your initial consultation is designed to help you get comfortable and make the best choice of counsellor, and type of counselling, for yourself.  Below you will find types of counselling and associated costs.

Individual Counselling

Individual counselling is offered to those who are 16+ .  In your session, you will be invited to discuss therapeutic models that Kate is trained in and that may be helpful with your particular issues.  Your consent is not taken lightly, and your vision for each session is the priority.  Kate regularly offers opportunities for clients to provide confidential feedback about individual sessions and the overall counselling experience.

Regular Session | $150  (60 minutes)

EMDR Session | $225 (90 minutes)

Groups and Intensives

Groups are an excellent opportunity for personal growth, testing skills in real life situations, and creating community when one feels most alone.  Kate has developed the various groups below to address trauma, but they are open to anyone who is looking to explore their interpersonal world and to learn new ways to be inside their body.

Intensives are NOT a group activity.  They are a full day of targeted EMDR for those who are at the processing phase of the protocol and wanting to accelerate their healing.

Walking and Movement Group | $200  (8 weeks x 60 minutes)

Psychoeducational Group for Complex Trauma  | $400 (8 weeks x 120 minutes)

Gardening Group | $400 (8 weeks x 120 minutes)

EMDR Intensive   |  $600 per day  (open to clients who are already engaged in EMDR phase four trauma processing)
